The nursing home comprises 5 areas – ground floor, St Joseph’s on floor 1, Sacred Heart on floor 2 and two garden wings with ground and first floors.

With between 20 to 26 beds each, all areas are made up of a range of private, double and larger rooms. This means you can pick your room according to your exact needs and how much privacy you would prefer. Each room is spacious and has been elegantly decorated and fully-furnished, complete with TV, overhead bed light, wardrobe, telephone, nursing call bell, lockable storage and an electric profiling bed.

Food and nutrition are two of the most important aspects of care, especially for the sustenance and recovery of the sick or frail. And of course looking forward to enjoying interesting and delicious meals can really add to the day. That’s why at Cahercalla we take pride in the quality of fine food we prepare:

Each resident is individually assessed for dietary needs – covering medical and cultural needs as well as individual tastes and preferences.
We provide a wide range of choices for every meal and snacks and drinks are always available outside of mealtimes.
To ensure a sufficient and balanced diet, we constantly monitor the food intake of each of our residents.
As far as possible, our food is freshly prepared on the premises by our team of qualified chefs and cooks. Only the highest-quality ingredients are used and we source local, seasonal ingredients whenever we can.
